Caring For Our Members

Ambo Care

Fulfilling the Association’s care objectives requires the development of a close-knit group who keep in touch with each other and notice when help is needed.   Achieving this quietly, without invading members’ privacy adds a further challenge.  It is not a task that the committee can assign to any single person but requires the assistance of all members, most of whom maintain contact with several others.  Some members help further by keeping in touch through the various social occasions and working bees.

Rod Kershaw is the committee member who coordinates this task, but he relies on feedback from all members.  Members are encouraged to contact Rod if they become aware of another in need, being assured that all such matters are dealt with discreetly and that the individual’s privacy will be respected.

The Association has provided a variety of responses to individual needs, including … visiting the sick, attending funerals, sending flowers or a hamper ….
